Bulldogs in Batavia

We loaded up two cars and spent and evening down in Batavia checking out the recent Bulldogs Unleashed art exhibit with the kids. It was a lot of fun walking around looking for the next dog on the map.

Luckily for us, the dogs were in close proximity to each other so the excitement didn't wear off until it was time to go home. :)

Aiden's favorite

Keira liked the dog with the book and the hat
Sherlock Bones

and Colten wasn't so sure...

We had dinner by the river
cheers

and made sure to stop at the best popcorn place before heading home.
best popcorn ever

Oh... and as an added bonus we ran into good old Humpty Dumpty at the Batavia LIbrary. Keira was super happy to see that all his pieces were put back together and she reminded him several times not to fall. :)

humpty dumpty too!

4th of July!

We had a wonderful 4th of July. The weather was just right and we were surrounded by family and good friends.

Bill, Gwenn, Max and Marissa were in town from Seattle, and the Benoit family was able to join us for the day.

Beth made a super yummy and festive dessert that was a big hit.

We were also able to celebrate Grandma Moyer's recent birthday.

Keira wasn't so sure about the sparklers although Aiden loved them

and was even less of a fan of the "poppers" as she called them.... maybe next year?!

A Visit with Great-Grandma Baer

We loaded up the mini-van and took all three kiddos up to Beloit to see Great-Grandma Baer. Suzi and Cooper met us over at Riverside and we had a nice visit.

The kids had a blast running around the courtyard and were quite entertaining to watch. Cooper was a big hit and got lots of exercise as all three kids wanted to have their turn to walk him around. :)

We were able to get everyone on the bench for a quick picture - although it is impossible to get everyone to look in the same place at the same time!

After working up an appetite we took everyone over to The Rock to get some dinner and spent the next hour watching the kids play in the sand volleyball court

and using the bag boards as a slide.

I think we were all exhausted by the time we had to head home. I have no idea how Grandma had 5 kids!

Neverly Brothers

This was the second time Keira saw The Neverly Brothers in concert and she is a big fan!

Being such a cute two year old, she was able to convince both Papa and Daddy to take her out on the dance floor multiple times.

In between the dance workout Keira put us through, we all enjoyed some cool beverages on the patio (gotta love the pink sippy cup!)

At the end of the evening Keira announced to us that "I love those guys" and was speechless when Papa actually took her over to meet the band!

I have a feeling we will be attending another concert next summer. :)
