Locks of Love

Keira has been growing her hair for about a year now and it is l-o-n-g!

 

She's been anxious to get to the 10 inch mark so that she could donate her ponytail to another child that needs hair. With all our trips to LPCH she's seen quite a few kiddos her age without hair.

 We were lucky that when she was on cytoxin (chemo) she didn't have any hair loss.
 It was definitely a possibility at the time.

 Naveen was a bit nervous about the haircut and Keira said it best,
"Dad it's just hair. It will grow back." How can you argue with that?!

 
Yay, K!  We're so proud of you!

Summer Fun!

Summer just flew by this year. It was so much fun hanging out with the girls during the week and planning fun activities with friends.  And weekends could be extra fun since the girls and I could do grocery shopping and laundry leisurely during the week.

Just when we were getting used to our routine it was time to go back to school... sigh... luckily we all love where we spend our days when we're not together.

 I'm already looking forward to my October break.

Morning Fun

Never a dull moment with two little kiddos.
I was able to catch them on video this morning, playing outside in their pj's!

ABC's

Akemi is already starting to learn her ABC's! 

Keira is proud of her sister but says, "she missed a few."
Personally, I think it's pretty impressive for being only 19 months!

Sunshine

Tonight Akemi was singing one of our favorite songs during bath. We had to get it on video.  Please pardon my raspy voice. I'm not a great singer but to make matters worse I have a cold!

 I think her cuteness makes up for my bad singing. :)
