Back in Our Room

We went down to the Nursery last night and were super thrilled about the fact that Akemi was going to be released back to our room.  We wheeled her in around dinner time, got takeout and enjoyed our first full night in our room with our daughter.  Keira had only left 30 minutes earlier with Aunt Jamie, so the sisters just missed eachother.  I'm sure Keira will be thrilled to meet Akemi today.

Now that Akemi is back in our room, I'm able to easily fill up my memory card so here are some more pics from the evening.

Crystal said that Akemi was awake and alert earlier, but she snoozed through this entire photo session (and feeding) when I showed up.  Still, pretty cute though.

Happy New Years!

Saying that this year came to a close with a bang would be the understatement of, well, the year.   Crystal and I couldn't think of a better way to ring it in and we couldn't be happier about our growing family.  We got some great news on Friday with Keira as her OMS symptoms are responding to the change in her steroid dose, and Akemi must have been so excited she decided that she wanted to come out and celebrate a few hours later.

Her entrance into this world was a bit rocky, but she's been doing really well and we're hoping that she'll be out of the nursery by tomorrow.  

In the mean time, she wanted to say Happy New Years to everyone and thank everyone for all the love and warm wishes.  Enjoy the pics...more to come tomorrow.
