Akemi Daddy Day

I don't always get much one on one time with little Akemi but on Saturday we had a chance to hang out for an hour at the park together doing the stuff that a curious 2 year old loves...climbing, exploring, picking up sticks and rocks, swinging and riding her balance bike.  We followed it up with a dinner date of burgers, fries and drinks (chocolate milk that is).  Here are some pics from the evening at the park.

Akemi's 2nd Birthday in Cupertino

Having a birthday so close to Christmas proves challenging but we did our best to make turning TWO special for Miss Akemi.

She was very clear that she hoped to get a blue bike (like mom!) for her birthday this year. The expression on her face when she saw it in the living room was priceless.

 It was also cute to see her big sister give her advice on how to ride it in our tiny house.

we headed up to Golden Gate Park for some practice on two wheels.

 





No visit is complete without a ride on the Merry-Go-Round.

San Diego

Here are some more pictures from our road trip to San Diego. It was fun to just hang out and watch the kiddos play. The weather was amazing. We were able to get some time on the beach NYE before celebrating Supriya's big 4-0!

Akemi's 2nd Birthday

This year for Akemi's big day we decided to take a road trip down to San Diego to see Supriya, Sridhar, Krishna and Anushka. Supriya also has a birthday this time of year so we thought it would be fun to celebrate both girls. :)

We took Keira to Sea World when she was about this age and she loved it. Akemi has heard stories and seen pictures so we weren't surprised when she wanted to go see the dolphins too.

Akemi was insistent that Shamu's name was really Shampoo. Silly.

 
It was a fun day.


Back at the house we celebrated with cupcakes!
