Camping at El Capitan State Beach

It was about time for Keira to go on her first camping trip so we loaded up the Subaru with all the important gear and hit the road. It took us quite a bit longer than we thought to get down to Santa Barbara but considering Keira is only 5 months old I am not sure what we expected. :) Our little two person tent was just perfect for the 3 of us since we all like to cuddle and the temperature was cool. The campground was right above the ocean... falling asleep to the ocean's waves was awesome.

Keira was up early and ready to explore. After breakfast we spent the day down at the beach. Of course Naveen wanted to take his little girl into the ocean. She acted tough at first but as soon as her little butt got wet she was ready to be done. That evening the camp fire was nice and toasty. Keira was super interested in the marshmallows and thought she just might like to take a bite of that strange white, fluffy thing. We had to promise her that next year she can partake in the smores fun. Check out this cute video of Carlitos teasing, I mean playing with her. :)

Sunday came too soon (as usual) and we had to drive back home. I think this trip was a sneak preview of what we can expect if we try to make our October road trip happen.
