Our week with Marissa!

We invited Marissa to come hang out with us this summer. Lucky for us, she said yes!

The girls were excited to have her here for the week.

We met her at SFO with smiles and a balloon.

Dex Pulse #14

It's Friday and Keira is already feeling better!

This month we reduced K's dex pulse by another pill so that means she is already done...
4 pills in 2 days!

Keira was a bit cranky (especially for day 2) but overall she handled the pulse like a pro.  We were at LPCH yesterday to visit Dr. Campen (her neuro-oncologist) and Dr. Effinger  - both doctors agreed that she looked great!

We will most likely schedule some check-in appointments this month with Speech, OT and PT since they have not seen her lately and can give us feedback on how they feel she is progressing.

Happy Thoughts for another uneventful month.

Tahoe with Mary and Pat

The 4th of July always feels like the official start to summer. This year we spent the holiday weekend with Mary and Pat in one of our favorite places. Considering how often our family goes to Tahoe, it's seems funny that we've never really spent time up there in the summer.

The weather was perfect and we all had a blast! We definitely need to do that again!

Here are some videos from our play time at the beach.

Keira doesn't care how cold the water is, however her little sister is a bit more apprehensive.

Akemi seems to enjoy the beach better.  She thought making a sand angel might be fun.
Akemi is also getting good at jumping, thanks to her dad's coaching.

I think one of K's highlights was finally getting to do the big trampoline at Squaw.
Akemi really wanted to try it as well, but we told her she had to wait a few more years. :)
