These Dex Pulses seem to be sneaking up on us these days, which is maybe a good thing since for the most part life is normal... busy, but normal.
As Dr. Twist said - it's just not as clean of a transition as we would like. It's better to just wait another month and watch her closely to see that she is completely recovered and we don't have any other concerns.
We did have a bit of a sick month. I think I brought home some germs from school and was under the weather for a few days. Of couse, Akemi got it right away... then Naveen... then Akemi and Naveen got sick again... and finally Keira.
I was impressed we were able to keep her healthy for as long as we did this winter, but with any virus comes the fear of OMS relapse.
We were able to keep Keira home all week to really rest and recuperate thanks to wonderfully understanding friends and the best babysitter ever! She seemed almost 100% after just 4 days but then we started seeing very subtle behavior that made us nervous that this could be the start of an OMS flare. She's been extremely emotional and had a couple of out of character meltdowns. We're hoping it was just part of being sick and not feeling well but after our monthly visit to LPCH, the doctors do not want to switch her from the prednisone just yet (we were hoping this would be her last month).

Lots of prayers for our little Keira and hopefully this will be her last month of prednisone!
