Ajji and Thatha's Visit, September 2010

Keira was excited to have Ajji and Thatha in San Francisco for a visit in September. She showed them all around her favorite neighborhood spots and also spent a day over at the Bay Area Discovery Museum.

Who says girls don't like planes?

Keira has been fascinated with airplanes for some time now. We're not sure if it's because her Great Uncle Billy works for Boeing,


Or if it's because her Great Uncle Pat works for Gulf Stream

Or if it's because we drive by SFO every day on our way to and from work!

Whatever the influence, she has an eagle eye for spotting planes and will yell out, "Airplane, airplane" as well as give the ASL sign for an airplane. Occasionally, we doubt her, but if we look more carefully we will spot the plane too. Lately, she is even identifying planes just by listening. Who knows... maybe we have a future aeronautical engineer on our hands. :)

Lechuza Vineyards

We wanted to post the pictures from our trip down to Lechuza Vineyards to visit Ray, Patty and Tom back in September. We met Ray and Patty in July 2008 when we did the Machu Picchu Lodge to Lodge Trek. It was an amazing trip and we met a lot of really cool people. We feel lucky that we have been able to keep in touch with Ray and Patty since the trip. When they invited us down to their Vineyard in Mexico, of course we said, YES!

What an amazing weekend. It was so relaxing to just hang out with good people... eat, drink, and relax. There were no phones or computers to suck up the time. Keira ate some organic grapes right off the vine (and a few rocks), toddled all around the Vineyard and had her first Mickey Mouse Pancake!
