Nick, Michelle and Brady in SF

Memorial Day Weekend was spent with Nick, Michelle and Brady Baer! We had such a great time hanging out and showing them around San Francisco. The weather was beautiful so we spent as much time as possible outside.

Saturday we went to Golden Gate Park for a stroll through the Botanical Gardens. We discovered a Yo-Yo Culture we didn't know existed and spent a few hours in the Academy of Sciences (very cool!) Saturday night we walked up the hill to Noe Valley for a 5th Anniversary sushi dinner (yay, Nick and Michelle) at Hamano and then back down the hill for some ice cream at Bi-Rite Creamery (I love any excuse for ice cream).

Sunday brunch was dim sum (great for kiddos), and then a drive over the Golden Gate to Sonoma (also great for kids). We brought some fruit and cheese, not that we really needed to eat any more after dim sum, and hung out at Gloria Ferrer, Cornerstone Place and Cline. Took a bit of a detour on the way back home so that Michelle and Brady could see Lombard Street.

The weekend went by way too fast... there was obviously lots of eating but there was lots of laughing too. Brady and Keira had fun together and we are hoping to all get together again sometime soon.

Misc. April/May

Thought we should share some of the cute "randomness" from the last two months. We can't believe how quickly our little girl is growing up, but we are enjoying every minute of it.

Mother's Day Weekend

What a fabulous Mother's Day...

Naveen and Keira spoiled me all weekend long.

We got up on Saturday morning and I made us pancakes. K's first pancake and it was a hit - although I think the fact that it looks like a cat helped. :) After breakfast we loaded up the car and headed up to Napa for the weekend. Our first stop was at Frank Family Vineyards. Beautiful grounds and with such great weather we let Keira run around and play in the grass for a while. Then we headed over to Gott's Roadside for a burger, fries and milkshake. Yum, best burger in Napa. Our last stop before hitting the pool was at Peju. Never been before and we had a very friendly wine pourer, which is always a good thing when you are tasting.

Dinner was at Ubuntu, which has been on our list for some time and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and accommodating to all 3 of us which made our dinner even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding and if you are in Napa you should definitely stop in for a meal.

Sunday morning we got up, went for another swim, had breakfast and then took Keira on her first bike ride. Keira was a little unsure of the helmet and being strapped into the trailer but as soon as we gave her the bottle and started moving she fell fast asleep and was happy for more than an hour, which is impressive with a 1 year old. I think it also helped that she had her favorite puppy along to keep her company.

After we finished our ride we had a nice picnic lunch in Yountville before heading back to SF. What a lucky mom I am!

Nina & Bodhi Visit San Francisco!

Keira was excited to finally meet her little buddies, Nina & Bodhi! We had a wonderful weekend hanging out in San Francisco with the Iyer family. No big plans just hanging out together and catching up on all the excitement now that we are parents.
